Mondays are usually my recovery day but since I did very little yesterday and it’s a bank holiday I thought I would get stuck in. The lake was open and so I started the day with a swim, under the hour (50 mins) but a good steady 2.75k. The week is set to be a bit odd with a couple of days holiday so I thought it would be a good idea to juggle the training and do the brick session this evening. The ride was great legs feeling good and a good pace, quick change into running shoes then a 30 minute run. My ankle is still a bit achy but nothing too dramatic. A thought struck me as I was running. Saturday was the first time ever in my life that I carried out any form of exercise continuously for 6 hours. For that I feel very proud……
