Trusting the process

Out on the bike today for 2.5 hours followed by a 15 minute run. I should have set off early before the traffic but wanted to make the most of my sleep, this was a mistake as the traffic was awful. However, I averaged at around 16.5mph and completed part of the Winsor Triathlon bike course which I have to say was in awful shape. The winter has really done some damage to the roads and I think I am going to spend a bit of time on practice runs to ensure that I am familiar with some of the more lethal pot holes. It is a good course with some open stretches that could be windy coupled with some long but gently ascending parts. I may try to incorporate the whole course into my standard bike ride. Overall the ride was fine with the weather warming up and a few spots of rain but nothing terrible, altogether it was a pleasure to be out and about. Once again the run was hard and the first few minutes after transitioning painfully slow. At the moment doing 26 miles after a ride 3 times that distance seems like a million miles away. Still I am not even halfway through the training and I live in hope. I am going to follow the process and trust it, what is the worst that can happen? Went climging this evening with Aimee and her boyfriend to the climging wall , it was great to do something different, we laughed lots, especially trussing Mike into his harness, they are not flatering at all!!!
