The main goal for this week is to ensure that I can maintain and possibly build fitness in spite of not being able to run. For tomorrow I will substitute a bike session in the evening and if my calf is still causing issues on Friday and Sunday I will substitute swims for those. I am cautious about increasing either swimming or biking by too much, because I don’t want to pick up another injury that means I lose another discipline. I might drop into the gym to see if the elliptical trainer is an option, if it is then I can build that in as an alternative.
